The purpose of the Andreas ph.d.-study is to evaluate new ultrasound techniques in a clinical setting.
More specifically Andreas is in his first study evaluating synthetic aperture sequential beamforming imaging on patients with focal liver pathology. The images will be evaluated in terms of image quality and pathology recognition.
The second study will concern evaluation of vector flow imaging, when assessing flow in arteriovenous fistulas on kidney failure patients, while the third study will deal with measurements of pressure gradients with vector flow imaging data at patients with stenosis.
The project is a joint venture between DTU and the Department of Radiology at Copenhagen University Hospital.
