Collaboration Partners

Polarisor (Photo: DTU Elektro)The Biomedical Engineering Group cooperates closely with the industry as well as hospitals and other research institutions.

In a current project we are cooperating with Copenhagen University Hospital, University of Copenhagen and the private enterprise Hyposafe to develop new biomedical signal processing methods for monitoring and detecting epileptic seizures.

Other collaboration partners include Glostrup Hospital, Hvidovre Hospital, and the pharmaceutical company Lundbeck, with whom we are researching in neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, and dementia.

Within ultrasound, we have a very productive cooperation with BK Medical, a major player within biomedical engineering, to obtain better resolution, contrast and depth penetration in ultrasound scans of the soft tissue structures in the human body. To read more about this cooperation, please see Center for Fast Ultrasound Imaging (CFU).

Another much estimated collaboration partner is the Department of Clinical Physiology and Nuclear Medicine and PET at Copenhagen University Hospital, headed by Professor Liselotte Højgaard, an important stakeholder and contributor to our student program "Medicine & Technology".
