Talk: Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound Imaging by Mengxing Tang, Imperial College

Microbubble contrast agents have inspired the development of revolutionary methods for imaging blood flow, tissue perfusion, and molecular targets. These bubbles not only offer superb echogenicity, they can also be deactivated at will, presenting unique opportunities for studying tissue perfusion dynamics and beyond.

The recent advances in high resolution ultrasound imaging, in temporal as well as spatial domain, have offered both opportunities and challenges. In this talk I will introduce some recent work in my group on high frame-rate contrast enhanced ultrasound for imaging and quantifying cardiac, arterial and microvascular flow dynamics, and on ultrasound super-resolution.

Some challenges will also be discussed.
